So why would you want to come and work for ARC in Glasgow?
Glasgow has long been recognized as a centre for engineering excellence and ARCs city centre office carries on this tradition in a location which allows easy access to both Glasgow Queen Street and Central train stations as well as Buchanan Street Underground station. Our central location means that not only is getting to work fast and simple, but that you can enjoy all this exciting city can offer. You could not be in a better position to enjoy the vibrant city of Glasgow! Glasgow is renowned as one of Europe’s top shopping destinations and with a wealth of shops there is definitely a store to suit everyone, whether it is top designers, high street chains, department stores or independent boutiques, all styles, tastes and budgets are catered for. The vibrant West End is easily accessible via the underground where you can explore the beautiful botanic gardens and admire the recently reopened glass house, or visit the recently refurbished Kelvingrove Art Gallery. After that you’ll have worked up quite an appetite and whether it’s a bar snack or five course meal you’ll be spoilt for choice in this interesting part of town. As well as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Glasgow boasts many excellent museums and galleries from the famous Burrell collection to the Museum of Modern Art. Glasgow was, of course, home to the great architect Charles Rennie MacIntosh and you do not have to venture far from the city centre to view examples of his work such as the Glasgow School of Art and the Glasgow Tea Room. Music lovers are also well catered for with venues such as King Tuts, The Fruitmarket, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the SECC and the Clyde Auditorium offering patrons the opportunity to see international stars as well as up and coming talent spanning all genres of playing live music. For those looking for a more active pastime Xscape, a short 20 minute drive down the M8, offers a wide variety of activities suitable for all ages and all fitness levels. From honing your footballing skills, testing your nerve on the indoor aerial assault course or improving your skills on the state of the art indoor ski facility there are plenty of ways to spend a few energetic hours. When the sun is shining there are plenty of opportunities for getting out there and exploring the local countryside with excellent walks, trails and hikes including the West Highland Way which takes you 152km from Glasgow to Fort William in the Highlands. The nearby Clyde estuary also offers a wealth of activities for the more nautically minded including sailing and power boating. Glasgow certainly does have something to suit everyone and what better way to discover the city than by working in the heart of it. |
