Quantified Risk Assessments Projects Project: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Support Client: Naval Base Design Authority (NBDA) HMNB Clyde ARC provides independent advice, analysis and general engineering support to the NBDA at HMNB Clyde in relation to the shore support facilities for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme (NNPP). Support services considered include those related with craneage, electrical supplies, alarm systems mechanical services, weapon support facilities and other safety critical systems. Our services range from safety management and safety case compilation through formal safety analysis, assessment, appraisal and audit, to detailed engineering assessment of safety critical systems, structures and components. Project: Support to the BATCIS IPT Client: QinetiQ Ltd ARC is currently working through QinetiQ Ltd to assist the MoD / DPA to review and develop the Installation Safety Cases supporting the British Army's Land Mobile Platforms, following installation of the new BOWMAN, ComBAT, Infrastructure and Platform BISA (BCIP) Battlefield Communication System. The support provided includes the critical assessment of the Platform Safety Cases submitted and the further development of the safety case demonstrating that the modified platform is safe and suitable for service. Project: SSN Berthing Facility Independent Technical Assessment Client: Amec Group Ltd ARC is currently providing specialist Electrical, Mechanical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering support for the Independent Technical Assessment of the design solution and substantiation of the E, M, C and I systems for the SSN Berthing Facility for HMNB Clyde. The purpose of the ITAs is to ensure that the systems as designed meet their safety and performance requirements and that the substantiation provided is appropriate for nuclear safety assets.
