So why would you want to come and work for ARC in Edinburgh?
With a work hard play hard culture and an office based right in the centre of the City there is access to everything that is to offer in one of the World's tourist hotspots. Two minutes walk away is George St which is now the in place to eat, drink and socialise and to shop for the better paid in town! The heart of the New Town offers extremes and turning right out of the office takes you to the quiet residential streets with their own spectacular gardens and buildings. Continue walking and arrive in the bohemian Stockbridge with its annual plastic duck race, great restaurants and quirky pubs. The Water of Leith provides some stunning walks which seem to be lost in the usual tourist guides which concentrate on the more unique aspects of the City - so within 10 minutes of walking out of the office you can be standing 10 feet away from a Heron busy fishing by a waterfall!
Obviously Edinburgh has the more well publicised Festivals in August, Six Nations rugby in February and March and spectacular Hogmany parties. Our staff regularly arrange to go these events together and often end up reviewing them over a pint into the wee small hours....
A train bus or car ride of 30 minutes takes you out of the city and to the beaches and hills of East Lothian or Fife. ARCites will be out there each weekend with family and friends enjoying the golf, walks and even surfing that they offer. There are clubs of every sporting and pastime persuasion, to meet people outwith the company. Year on year the City becomes more and more cosmopolitan and diverse of culture. The airport which is 30 mins from the city centre heads to most European countries now and has flights to New York.
Finally the flexible arrangements when working in the office are designed to allow you the most suitable method of commuting to work be it the train over the Forth, driving from the Pentlands or via the great local bus service. The basement cupboards provide a safe home for those of us who bike to work too!!!
