Helideck Wind Environments & Helideck Design Studies
ARC has carried out assessments of helideck wind environments to ensure safe helicopter operations. With ARC’s extensive experience in this area, input at platform design stage or later design improvements can be provided. Peak and mean wind speeds, turbulence and temperature rise over the helideck can be studied.
Heat and exhaust sources can be modelled together with an accurate wind environment representation. ARC’s powerful computing hardware and meshing capabilities ensure that platforms can be represented in detail beyond the industry standard. Frequency evaluation to provide annual and monthly operational restrictions based on weather conditions can be provided.
