ARC has a large number of consultants working on Oil and Gas projects around the world who have prepared Safety Cases to ensure compliance with the appropriate national regulations. At any one time we are providing numerous HAZOP resources (Chairperson and secretary) to a number of clients.
Our 2011 Brochure is available here Our Computational Fluid Dynamics team are continually running models to support development of offshore and onshore facilities for explosion modelling. Services We can support your business in delivering safe and reliable projects by undertaking the following:
Explosion modelling
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Production of Safety Cases to the relevant legislation
Optimisation of Management Processes
HAZOP/HAZID studies
Human Factors Engineering
Sample Projects Project: Afam Integrated Power Plant Project - HSE Support Client: Shell HSE support to the upstream gas supply scope of the SPDC Afam Power Plant Project including: Development and update of Design HSE Case for the project, including preparation of ALARP justifications. Management of Hazard and Effects Management Process (HEMP) activity plans for concept and detailed design of the Gas Receiving Facility and 240 MMscf/d Okoloma Gas Plant. Planning of and participation in various HEMP activities including Hazop Studies, IPF Classification exercises and Human Factor Engineering Reviews. Action monitoring, close out and audit for HEMP activities and project HSE Register. HSE engineer in design contractor's offices (IMPaC offshore engineering) for general HSE support to Okoloma gas plant detailed design. Project: FERA and Flare Minimisation Project Client: Zueitina Oil Company ARC conducted a study into operational and safety flaring systems at a number of crude oil and LPG facilities in Libya. In order to prioritise modifications to old plants the hazardous inventories and fault conditions were identified by HAZID and the representative fault cases carried forward into a consequence assessment. The requirements for flaring were identified and the suitability of the current systems reviewed against company guidance and appropriate codes and standards by means of a gap analysis. Options to reduce operational flaring were identified and developed to allow option selection. Project: Procedural Development for Commercial Agreements between Innovene & BP Client: BP Grangemouth ARC was responsible for the development of procedures which covered key business processes and activities between BP and Innovene. This project involved reviewing legal documents, identifying key business processes and meeting with key personnel to identify each progressive step of the process before documenting them in an agreed format. Each procedure was then subjected to internal and client review to ensure that each procedure was as accurate as possible. Project: K6 Gap Analysis Project Client: TOTAL In considering the re-use of the K6 Production facilities, Total requested ARC conduct a GAP analysis to evaluate the current status of the facilities against Total standards and local regulations (Atex, PED, Arbo, Mining regulations, etc). The study included process, electrical, safety and environmental disciplines and provided recommendations for both downgraded situations and design gaps.
